Testimony | Healing From Breast Cancer In Jesus’ Name

Today I wanted to share another testimony of how God has worked in my life through the power of Jesus’ name and by His blood, for the healing of breast cancer during prayer and fasting. Though what I am sharing is shameful and embarrassing, what I want to show is the goodness and faithfulness of God and how He keeps His promises. Before I go into my testimony, let me start by saying that if God calls us to do something, He will enable, empower, and equip us. It is God who works through us. It’s His power and strength.

On June 22, 2025, after prayer time, I went to press in and listen for what I hoped to be a response from God. And what I perceived as a message from God came through speaking of water, prayers, and no meat, followed by “I’ll help you”. There was no mention of fasting per se, but it appeared that some sort of fast was being spoken of, so I figured that I would proceed and follow any leading and guidance that would possibly follow. And shortly after, as I was getting ready one morning, I heard a message come through my heart area saying He was here with me. And indeed He was! As He got me through a month of fasting. Two weeks of water only, and two weeks of homemade chicken bone broth. And each day, I had the strength and energy I needed without being ice cold.

Other words I heard in the days following were “Baptism”, “Medical prayers now”, and “Cancer”. There was also mention of one of the girls in my Bible study group, and her grandfather who had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He mentioned her by name and said that He had heard my prayers for her grandfather, and said for me to claim that healing for myself, saying, “Fixed. Done”. He also said, “It’s nice to see him up and running”. I was not the only one who was praying over him of course, as we were all praying for one another in this Bible study group. But can I say that it’s exciting to see God work! Her grandfather’s health was declining fast to where he was coming to church less and less. Then, he started coming back to church regularly and he was getting around great! I held off on saying what happened to see if I would get confirmation to do so, but continued to ask my friend about his well-being. And she said that he’s always asking to go out now and how they are taking him everywhere.

Regarding cancer, I was already aware that I had breast cancer. But due to a willful sin years ago in adultery, and that indiscretion seeming to coincide with a fast growing lump that came out of nowhere, I had not asked to be healed from out of guilt. I had an emotional affair that I did not heed convictions to end right away, dragging it on for 6 months, which led to being in a state of spiritual torment. There was something else interesting that was said during this fast that may very well be related. I heard the words, “Spirit of Infirmity”. That spirit could come in through persistent willful sin and of course bring with it health issues. When I heard those words, things started to make sense, including a prior event.

Decades earlier, I was at a low point in my troubled life, as I was not living right. And at that time as well, I was in a state of spiritual torment, which also coincided with a sickness. Back then, I tried to make changes in my life and asked in desperation that God would heal me, saying, “Let’s try doing things your way”. And not only did God answer my prayer in healing me, He removed the torment I suffered. Following that miraculous healing, God gave me a good life, even orchestrating the meeting of my now husband. I even got baptized back then. But, that baptism should have been accompanied by a true heart change. I needed to truly surrender to God, but did not, as I wanted to control my life.

With not trusting God and fearing Him the wrong way, and not knowing or understanding who He really is, I held back and was rebellious. So instead of getting to know God, and seeking to build a personal relationship with Him, allowing Him to transform my life, I slowly reverted back to my old ways. I was lost and didn’t even know it. It was not until this past year that I was saved. But yeah, the words referencing the spirit of infirmity made sense! It made me think of scripture where Jesus healed certain individuals and said to them, “Your sins are forgiven you” implying that the sin was related to that infirmity.

I will say say this, that in regards to praying for my own healing, I found it easier to believe for others than for myself. It felt strange declaring healing like this! But Jesus said that faith small as a mustard seed moves mountains. (Matt 17:20) Remember that God does the work and He could do all without us praying, but does ask that we pray. Otherwise, how is it freewill? God is relational, and He wants us to partner with Him as He works in and through us. He wants us to trust in Him and believe He is able.

I heard someone once say that we tend to have more faith in a light switch than God, and how we don’t stop to think for a second will the light turn on or off. Thankfully, we can ask God for the grace to give us more faith, as it is a gift according to 1 Cor 12:7-11. An example is given in Mark 9:24 referencing a father of a possessed child, who was asking Jesus to strengthen his faith. And in Luke 17:5-6 the apostles were asking Jesus to increase their faith. We could all use a fresh filling!

So during the fast, I was praying out and declaring God’s word, though admittedly, I did not do the best job and fumbled through it. I am only a year and a half in my journey to know God, so I am learning as I go. I had printed out Bible verses and was praying them out and claiming them for myself. The Bible is a compilation of God’s thoughts, ways, wisdom, guidance, and is a tool to help us navigate life, complete with armor. Not only that, it’s a love letter to each of us, so we can personalize it, inserting ourselves as we pray it out. And, being it was God’s word that spoke the universe into existence, clearly it has power and is living and active. (Hebrews 4:12)

That being said, our prayers do not have to be fancy wordy prayers. We just try to be as specific as possible, taking authority in Christ Jesus, declaring and decreeing God’s promises in His word by the blood of Jesus and in His name. We come to God with the right heart posture, humbly acknowledging that we need Jesus’ help and that only Jesus can save us. We have faith believing that He has all power, whether in an instant healing or a progressive healing, leaving an opportunity for us to walk out our faith in Him as demonstrated in Mark 8:22-25, where Jesus heals a man in two stages. (Everything in scripture is intentional and instructive.) We ask for His Holy Spirit to guide us in prayer. Then, we stand on it like it’s already done, and thank Him for our healing, even before we see it.

The following prayer is an example of taking authority in Christ and decreeing His word for healing. What I had prayed during the fast was not nearly as put together, but was with me declaring and standing on these verses. But God is good and does it all! In fact, it was not until months later, during a shorter fast for a family member, that I learned the Holy Spirits guidance (words given through my husband) that we need to both declare and decree, and said it does not need to be long prayer, and said to try and be specific.

Father God, I come to you with praise and thanksgiving for all your goodness and that you are a faithful God. I thank you Lord for all that you have done in my life, and for all that you are doing. Lord God, please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Holy Spirit, please show me if there is any unforgiveness hidden in my heart against anyone that would hinder my prayers. Rightly align my heart and will with yours Father God and please wash me clean by the blood of Jesus. With the authority I have in Christ Jesus, I ask for the mighty fire of God from head to toe, to burn off anything that is coming against me and all that is not profitable. I ask Lord God that your Holy Spirit would help me to pray your heart and will for my life. Father, I pray according to Ephesians 6 putting on your full Armor of God, pulling up and activating the Shield of Faith which quenches the fiery darts of the evil one. And I ask Lord that every dart the enemy sends my way, that you would return to sender onto their own head seven-fold so that the enemy would know that Christ Jesus is Lord over all! I also take and lift up the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and in Jesus name activate it. May your Holy Spirit help me to use your powerful word effectively as your word heals, protects, and saves! You say in John 10:10 that, “The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but that you have come that I may have life, and have it more abundantly”. So in the mighty name of Jesus, and by Jesus’ blood, I come to you asking for and claiming healing for cancer according to Jer 17:14, “Heal me oh God and I will be healed, save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise”. Father God, I declare and decree that my body come into agreement with your will, and into order and alignment with your original design, and according to your plans for my life. In the name of Jesus, and by His blood, I speak life over this breast cancer and all cancer in my body according to Ezekiel 27 where it says, “Dead dry bones live”! Father God, I declare and decree according to your word in Psalm 118:17 that, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord”! And I declare and decree according to your word in Isaiah 53:5 that, “By your wounds I AM healed”. Thank you Lord Jesus for your sacrifice for me and for your blood applied! I thank you Father God for hearing and answering my prayers, and for healing all cancer in my body. I pray all in Jesus’ name and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Remember, God is faithful and healing is for us today. God did not make promises from the beginning to send a Savior and Redeemer, and orchestrate to fulfill hundreds of Old Testament Bible prophecies through Jesus, only to save the lives and heal a select group of people in the 1st century. No. By His stripes WE are healed. Prophecy of Jesus and what He would do were written in the book of Psalm, 1000 years before Christ, in Isaiah 700 years in advance, and in the book of Daniel, 500 years before His coming, and, in many other places in scripture.

Jesus took all our sicknesses, infirmities, and sins, so that we could be released from them and be restored. He gives us new life in Him, body, mind, and spirit. His death on the cross paid for all sin, past, present, and future, for all who accept, love, and follow Him. So the gift of healing, that came at such a high cost, was set aside for you and me 2000 years ago. He said on the cross, “It is finished”. Out of selfless love, and for the joy of what Jesus saw beyond the cross (Hebrews 12:2), He was faithful unto death, and completed the mission God the Father sent Him to do, providing salvation and new life to all who would accept Him. So we can grab a hold of that healing in faith.

So, about a week after the 30-day fast, I went up before the altar at church and asked for prayers, letting them know of the fast for healing, and asked for deliverance of the spirit of infirmity. I informed the individual of my life, including some past childhood abuse and trauma, and she said in respect of my privacy, that an official deliverance would be set up for me as something private. I was anointed and prayed over by the prayer team according to James 5:14-15, “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven”.

The past year and a half of my spiritual journey actively pursuing God to know Him personally seemed to be in stages. Cleansing and recieving the Holy Spirit during, fasting, baptism, anointing and the laying on of hands with corporate prayer, and then deliverance. I will share more on the deliverance, soul fracturing, and the spirits involved that entered, and also those that oppressed and came against me at various points in my life in another post.

I hope that my testimony serves to show the love and faithfulness of God and how He loves us dearly, regardless of what we have done in our past. Despite the bad choices I had repeatedly made, God had forgiven me, healed me, and set me free. He gave me a new lease on life in Christ Jesus. He says in Rev 21:5, “Behold, I make all things new.” And in 2 Cor 5:17, it says, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold the new has come!” Literally there were words given by multiple people during my life of restoration and God giving back all that the evil one has stole. And then, there were words I recieved during prayer and pressing in during the past year of “restoring” and “making new”. All these years, I had no idea what being restored was pertaining to. But those words go all the back to 2012.

No matter where you have been, and what you have been through, God is there and He loves you! It should not surprise us that He does as He is the one who formed us in the womb. (Jer 1:5, Psalm 139:13-18, Isa 44:24) Scripture says that we were made by Him and FOR Him. (Col 1:16) So yes, He loves you so much. I pray that you ask God to make Himself real to you. He will change your world. There is no one like Him!
